HDRI Joins the Anna Lindh Foundation Network in France

The Human Development Research Initiative (HDRI) is pleased to announce that it has been formally accepted as a member of the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) Civil Society Network in France, following a review by the National Network.

Established in 2005 as a Euro-Mediterranean intergovernmental organisation based in Alexandria, the Anna Lindh Foundation is dedicated to fostering intercultural dialogue and building inclusive societies across the Euro-Mediterranean region. Its work is structured around a participatory governance model connecting a Board of Governors of 42 representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Euro-Mediterranean countries, an Advisory Council of prominent regional figures, and a National Civil Society Network comprising more than 4,700 member organisations across 43 countries. This structure reflects the Foundation's founding principle that meaningful, lasting impact depends on sustained collaboration between governments and civil society.

HDRI's admission to the Network follows an assessment of its organisational profile, mission, and track record as a youth-led civil society organisation advancing civic participation, democratic governance, and human development research across the European Union. The Foundation noted that HDRI's expertise and areas of work represent a valuable addition to the Network's collective capacity.

As a member organisation, HDRI gains access to ALF's programme of activities, cross-border networking initiatives, and capacity-building opportunities, as well as priority consideration in the selection process for a number of ALF open calls, subject to the eligibility criteria of each call. Membership also situates HDRI within a wider community of practice engaged in dialogue, cultural exchange, and cooperation across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

This development builds on HDRI's existing institutional relationships, which include its memberhsip to other European Networks, further extending HDRI's engagement within European and Euro-Mediterranean civil society networks.

HDRI looks forward to contributing to the Anna Lindh Foundation Network's mission and to identifying opportunities for collaboration with fellow member organisations in the period ahead.
