Ten years ago, a group of Sciences Po students founded HDRI as a student association and think tank. In anticipation of our 10th anniversary, we are announcing something we've been working on for a while: a renewed visual identity for an organization that has grown well beyond where it started.
HDRI is now a fully-fledged civil society organization led by youth professionals and shaping normative conversations about collective youth causes. Based in Paris and international in reach, we have a staff spanning over 30 countries. Our diversity is a manifesto: to enable representation of collective youth causes at all levels of governance.
Our founding commitment to rigorous research across our five thematic areas remains intact. What has changed is the scale. We are now a recognized voice before the European Union and the United Nations, engaging a global network of NGOs and institutional partners and holding formal accreditations to national and international bodies.
Ten years of consistent work have built real institutional trust, with public bodies now funding our civic initiatives across the EU through five-digit grants.
Our new visual identity reflects that growth and trust. Developed in partnership with a young designer, we are moving from our previous logotype to a constellation of stars. A dynamic central star, formed by interconnected elements, is surrounded by eight outer stars arranged in a circle. Each one represents a value driving our mission: youth leadership, participation, diversity, inclusion, research, dialogue, collaboration, and human development.
The two shades of blue are a nod to France and the EU, whose institutions HDRI shares a deep legacy. Navy conveys trust, stability, and expertise. The brighter blue stands for clarity, hope, and forward motion.
Together, our new logo reflects who we are: a youth-led civil society organization committed to pursuing equitable human development.
Here's to the next ten years.
